Three girlfriends heard a buzz from a mountain top at Rondane on July 12th. The girls say that the sound echoed electrically, and they were so afraid of leaving the place right away.

– It was a sparkling sound, and it was the strongest around the rock at the top. I have never heard anything like this before, and instinctively I'm a little scared. We did not quite understand what it was. It was a strange experience, says Nina Lyshaug at NRK

Oddgeir Rokseth, senior engineer at SINTEF in Trondheim, says that the sound is caused by the electrical charge between the cloud and the ground, which is an intense electrical energy.
