SAND: Police turned on Saturday night after a man who said he had lost the mind.

It is the man himself who called the police emergency number at 6:40 pm on Saturday night.

Then he stated that he had lost his head and that he was very exhausted.

– He was a little wrong and did not know where he was. He said he was thirsty and hungry, says Trond Egil Groth, director of South East Police Operations.

Had been in five, six hours

Good luck with the battery on the cell phone. So the police could send patrols and watch depending on the phone's tracking.

– It's a big field, says Groth.

The man is in the 60s and announced that he had been in five, six hours after his parking at the Montebello Arena on the west coast.

Founded by Sea King

A Sea King rescue helicopter that had performed another mission offered police assistance during the search.

It is also this helicopter that located the man at 20:45.

After the discovery of the man, he was rushed to the hospital for medical follow-up.
