In April, management supported Bane Nor in its desire to delay the development of the double-track railway in central-eastern Norway with several years when the railway director Kirsti Slotsvik presented his proposals for programs for Action for 2018-2029. After the consultation cycle, when district protests came to fruition, the Norwegian Railways Directorate nevertheless chose not to make major changes to the progress plan.
In the calendar, the development of the Hamar, Tønsberg or Fredrikstad buildings is completed as planned until 2024.
The plan will now be reviewed by the Ministry of Transport and the Government for final decision.
Wanted progress
