More classic paintings are still removed from Facebook, which automatically removes images that show nudity or considered pornographic, reports the Danish newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad.
The altarpiece of the Flemish painter Peter Paul Rubens of the cathedral of Antwerp, Belgium, is among the photos removed from Facebook. The painting represents the dead and crucified Jesus who descended from the cross.

The removal of the altarpiece and other classical images has become a major inconvenience for the Visit Flanders tourist organization. In a letter to Facebook's founder and chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, tourism director Peter de Wildes writes:
