STORD: Last year, Kværner was responsible for upgrading the Njord A semi-submersible platform on Stord. This was a good reminder in many ways. The platform was built in 1997.

The first complete upgrade of the hull and platform deck allowed for approximately 3,000 man-years of work. Most of these in Stord, but Aker also works from elsewhere.

Njord skal after the job is done being able to produce oil and gas for 20 years.

should receive more

Now, the platform in addition to the Njord field, could receive oil and gas from the surrounding fields Bauge and Hyme. Before Christmas, it was also decided that Fenja should be connected to Njord A.

Therefore, additional work of manufacture and installation should be carried out in Njord A. Fenja must be connected to two seafarers and six wells at the platform.

The additional work will be completed in the spring of 2020, along with the rest of the work on the platform.

The work has an estimated value of about 500 million NOK.
