Having been close to undisturbed dominance in the mobile phone market, Samsung has pushed even tougher Chinese to Huawei in recent years. The quality of Huawei phones has grown significantly and quickly, and now the manufacturer can be ready for a new loophole; Flexible Phones
Samsung and LG have long talked about flexible mobile monitors. In particular, the rumors of a flexible mobile phone have been difficult and have disappeared for many years already. But since the volume of these rumors has increased lately, it seems likely that Samsung is relatively close by dropping the phone called the Galaxy X.
The Verge reports that Huawei is now working to get Samsung in advance with a such concept. In this case, a limited production, we will believe the rumors. If they turn on, maybe we can expect such a model already in 2019.
What would be a flexible mobile?
Huawei has already downloaded screens from a few different vendors – including Samsung. But The Verge expects this screen to come from another Chinese company; BOE – Beijing Oriental Electronics.
Just what needs to be done with a flexible or collapsible display is not obvious. Until now, the most promising ideas seem to concern the folding of phones, where you can enlarge the screen to get closer to the size of the tablet.
Among the most futuristic solutions, we find solutions like roll-over. But exactly how to use them seems insecure – squeezing a thin screen film that usually resides on a roll is not necessarily ergonomic.
Samsung has it deregulated the rate of innovation?
After the launch of the Galaxy S9, DJ Koh, the head of the Samsung mobile phone, has announced that focus more on the user experience than on the Innovation in the future (Sammobile.com). The statement could hardly come at a worse time; A few weeks later, Huawei's P20 Pro appeared, with a camera stolen from the S9 camera and the shrunken Samsung mechanical mixer.
Huawei's high-end models also have a significantly larger battery than some of Samsung's best models right now probably stole some potential buyers from the galaxy queue.
Now there are only a few weeks left for the launch of Galaxy Note 9. A relatively early launch in August is several weeks before normal. Generally, ticket launches take place just around the IFA fair in Berlin and usually take place in early August to September. There is a lot of speculation as to whether the acceleration is due to the weak sales of the Galaxy S9.
At the same time, the launch launches of Apple and Huawei are relatively close to those of Samsung.
Samsung, Microsoft and Huawei?
One of the rumors ahead of the launch Note 9 is that it can get a 4000mAh battery – the same size as in the P20 Pro. The biggest battery of today in a note model or Galaxy S current is 3500 mAh.
Samsung showed the first prototypes on flexible OLED monitors several years ago. And the monitors that can be described as flexible are the longest in production, but most are placed in much less flexible finished products.
If Samsung arrives at the finish line in a long-term project, it could even increase competition in the mobile market. One thing works for sure; Huawei has proved that they are not resting on laurels, and new phones are branded in sales lists around the world. This is not a good time to slow down the pace of innovation.
PS! There are also many strong rumors about the possible release of Microsoft.
