Last December, Kim Larsen was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He then decided to cancel all the concerts in January, February and March, but was expecting the summer tour in Norway to be over.

Monday afternoon, however, it is clear that he must also cancel these concerts – including those outside Stavanger Concert Hall, August 3.

– With the extensive travel program required by seven ten-day concerts in Norway, Kim Larsen is currently too far away to play, he writes.

The director apologizes at the same time for their Norwegian fans, adding that the nine concerts that Kim Larsen and Kjukken will play in Denmark in August will go as planned.

Grete Straume, Director of Marketing and Communications at Stavanger Concert Hall, told Aftenbladet that ticket sales for the concert should be arranged on the outdoor pool of the concert hall, it was stopped immediately when it was been informed of the state of Larsen.

– If the concert is canceled, as it now appears, the ticket money is refunded to all who bought it. It's never fun to cancel, neither for the audience, nor for the organizer, nor for the artist, and of course, Kim Larsen wants a good recovery and hopes to see him again here later, Straume says that until now he has sold about 2000 tickets.
