It was the Japanese victory in both classes. Takeru Otsuka won the men's final, while Reira Iwabuchi and Miyabi Onitsuka arranged the Japanese double win in the women's category.
Norendal 65.75 and 65.00 in their two counting attempts in the final. With 130.75 points, she was 35.75 from the winner and 28.75 from the pallet.
Kleveland received 91.50 and 79.00 in his counting attempt. He was in second place after the first lap, but the last jump was not good enough to hang out. With 170.50 points, he was 16.25 from the winner and 9.25 from the pallet.
In qualifying earlier Saturday, Kleveland won his race by 89.25. The top five in each heat reached the final and Kleveland was the only one of the four Norwegians to succeed.
All the others competed in the same heat. Bendik Gjerdalen became number seven in the heat, Markus Olimstad ni and Stian Kleivdal 21. In 14th place, Gjerdalen, 16th in Olimstad and 38th in Kleivdal. Isak Ulstein did not start.
Norendal became the number five qualifier, out of the six who qualified for the final. She earned 75.00 points in her counting attempt during the qualification.
The Saturday race should have been completed in Milan, but moved to Modena. The World Cup was launched in New Zealand in September and continues in Beijing later this month. It ends in Quebec City and Oslo in March. The five races will be held around the world.
