Kristian Rocket and Øystein sang with pleasure – both went on to Idol

The case is being updated.

There are only five finalists remaining in the Idol Music Competition. Two of them come from Trøndelag. They have been and continue to be great favorites among judges and the public.

Today, the theme was "Me and my group" and the challenge was to be the figurehead of a group. This required close collaboration between the artist and the musicians of the group.

During the evening's show, Raanes and Hegvik, numbers four and five, had come out of the fire.

Debuted as a singer in a rock band

Kristian Raanes dreams of becoming a rock star since childhood. While he was auditioning at Idol, he took a big step outside the comfort zone and came out with a golden ticket.

Since then, Raanes sang what he felt confident and received brilliant returns. Rock was the entrance of Raanes to become a guitarist, but he was never singer in this genre.

Last week the judges asked the judges to move further away from the comfort zone, singing something new and unprecedented. This challenge he met and tonight he exploded with the song "Come Togheter" of the Beatles.

"The hardest thing is to go dry and defend it," says Raanes in preparation.

And he did so because the applause was standing and the judges were very impressed. Tshawe Baqwa meant that he was a superman during the performance of the evening.

"You have delivered an inertia," says Gunnar Greve.

Although this was well received when Raanes stepped in the unknown direction, he did not think he would lose in the same direction.

"I will continue to make my voice heard every day, but I know what I am as an artist and I will not jump very far from what I can," Raanes told the newspaper Adress after the show.

Happy for the first time

Raanes was not the only one to have pushed the limits of the comfort zone. Tonight, Øystein Hegvik sang for the first time at this competition a happy song.

"I was anxious to sing a happy song, it was time to do something else, but it was way beyond the comfort zone," Hegvik told Adresseavisen.

For him, it was a way to show off his personality, as a happy boy that he really is. Hegvik takes the audience to the party while he smiles at George Ezra's song "Paradise" and in the middle of it all roars as loudly as he succeeds.

"Your voice is amazing, I have the impression that we have seen the real Øystein today," says Silje Larsen Borgan, Idol judge

Fear of disappearing

During the preparations for the evening show, Hegvik revealed that he was more afraid of disappearing after Idol.

– That's what I want to do by living the music. Therefore, I hope it is only the beginning and that I will be able to continue after Idol, Hegvik said.

– grateful

Up to now in the competition, none of them has been among the three with the least votes.

"It was good and promised to be part of the competition, and it's good for people to vote for me," Hegvik said.

Raanes has never thought of staying where he is today and is grateful for his participation in the competition.

"It's incredibly good to be and I'm very happy with the night," said Raanes.

That he has never been among the three with the least votes, he does not quite understand.

"I think first of all how it went, but I'm very grateful to have come here," he says.
