A man was rescued from Verdalselva near Grønnøra after having problems when he was swimming in the river.

Three men were in the river to bring the man down. Their efforts save the life of the man, writes the police on Twitter.

– This was a near-accident in Verdalselva, according to Deputy Chief of Police Rune Reinsborg.

– A man was bathed in the river and was in the middle of the river when he started to go down. From the country, people have observed that he had problems. They saw that the head was going under the water, said the deputy chief on the spot. It tells that three men on both sides of the river jumped into the river and saved the man.
