It has not been more than a week since Netflix canceled the Marvel "Iron Fist" series. It is now clear that there will be no third season of "Luke Cage" on Netflix.
It confirms both Marvel and Netflix on the Deadline website.
"Everyone at Marvel and Netflix is grateful to the creators, writers, actors and dedicated editors of the series who have brought the hero of Harlem to life over the past two seasons and to all the fans who have supported the series," said Marvel.
Neither Netflix nor Marvel indicate the reason for the cancellation. Netflix also does not provide a score for its series.
– "Always go on"
The cancellation of the series is a surprise, according to Deadline. According to the website, a group of screenwriters led by comedian Cheo Hodari Coker had been working for about six months creating and customizing scripts following comments by Netflix and Marvel.
– So many memories. So many individual roofing phones to take. I just want to thank Marvel, Netflix, Writer's Room, the actors, those who worked on the set, Midnight Hour and all those who performed at Harlem's Paradise, as well as the most fan extraordinary world. "Always on the way …" wrote Cheo Hodari Coker on Twitter.
Lunken reception
The premiere of Luke Cage took place in September 2016. The series tells the story of former convict Luke Cage, who, with superhuman strength, fights crime and corruption. Mike Colter plays Luke Cage.
According to Serienytt, the first season was warmly received. The series has also been criticized for not having an Asian actor in the lead role. On the other hand, season two was considered an improvement.
– Blood, tits and ban
Dagbladet announced the first season of the series and launched three dice.
"Although the series has a skin of community awareness and psychological depth, it is no more serious than testing the water with the big toe.The movement of black lives is among the rebels, and the personal interest is discussed continuously for a few seconds, writes Dagbladet's critic, then continues:
"Like" Jones, "Cage" has a harder, more "adult" approach to superheroes. Here is more blood, tits and ban (frequent use of the word -N.The word F keeps them away.) That in the weird movies.
With "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist" off the Netflix playlist, there are three Marvel shows left: "Daredevil", "Jessica Jones" and "The Punisher".
