Med 112 nominasjoner til årets Emmypriser har Netflix overtatt hegemoniet eng HBO somet mest nominerte tv-nettverket til den gjeveste amerikanske tv-prisen [19659002] HBO fikk 108 nominasjoner, NBC 78 nominasjoner, fikk FX 50 CBS og fikk ABC henholdsvis 35 og 31 . Selv om HBO ble detronisert, fikk deres flaggskip Game of Thrones og Westworld likevel flest nominasjoner (22 og 21), etterfulgt av Saturday Night Live (21) og The Handmaids Tale (20).
Amerikanske kommentatorer omtaler nominasjonsdrysset til Netflix som en ny era i Emmyprisens historie, selv om det ikke kommer som noen stor overraskelse.
