FARNBOROUGH (Hangar.no): The US company Moxy Airways, under construction, has chosen to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement that will lead to purchases on the recent Airbus A220-300.
The type of aircraft was previously known as Bombardier CS300. The new company under construction is being launched by JetBlue Airways' entrepreneur, David Neelman, in cooperation with TAP Portugal and Azul Airlines in Brazil. The plan provides that the new company will make its first journeys by 2020.
The delivery of the new Airbus A220 will take place from 2021 if the final sales are completed
The aircraft will be equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF engines.
