Ulstein Verft has entered into a construction contract with the German Bernhard Schulte on a ULSTEIN SX195 Service Vessel (SOV) developed by Ulstein Design & Solutions. The vessel will support GE Renewable Energy's maintenance work on the German Merkur Offshore wine vessel.

The project is developed in collaboration with WINDEA Offshore, partner of Bernhard Schulte in the offshorevind project.

Reliable Shipyard
– Ulstein Verft is a very reliable shipyard and we look forward to working with ULSTEIN again. Matthias Müller, managing director of Bernhard Schulte Offshore GmbH, said in a press release

: "We designed and built several ships before they could be renewed. l & # 39; energy. Fast growth is very important to us and we are looking forward to working with Berhhard Schulte, one of the most reliable and leading players in this field, says Gunvor Ulstein, CEO of Ulstein Group
. Bernhard Schulte and it will be delivered in early 2020. The first two bleeds delivered in 2016 and 2017. We will do our best to meet their expectations, this time, says CEO Kristian Sætre in Ulstein Verft

The Ship [19659004] The vessel is type SX195, developed by UDS over time, has been modified to meet the specific requirements of GE Renewable Energy and the selection of the equipment of the shipowner. It has a large W2W gateway compensated by a pipe and a tower lift for transferring personnel and charging to wind turbines. In addition, there is also a 3D compensation crane capable of lifting up to 2 tons. The energy efficient vessel has a well-planned logistics on board, with a large storage capacity, half under roof in a controlled environment, and with a continuous transition to offshore facilities. The main equipment is located at the bottom end of the ship and the work operations take place here. It will then be natural to divide the ship by two with the X-STERN® rear end against the veret. This reduces bumps, noise and vibration, which provides good sleep and painful twists.

The SX195, a ship measuring 93.4 meters in length and 18 meters in width, is optimized for offshore winds. The vessel has a capacity of 120 people. Onboard facilities are modern and of high quality. This ship design is flexible and attractive for work before areas such as O & M (Operation and Maintenance) or as construction support, and especially in conditions where the sea and the sea are challenging.
