According to the Oslo Police District, emergency data is on hand following a message that a person is being hit by a train at Oslo Central Station. The course of events is not clear.

The operations manager, Steinar Hausvik, said the police had received a message from Bane NOR at 07:34 on a serious accident.

The investigation has blocked the place where the incident occurred, Hausvik told TV 2.

– We talked to witnesses and blocked the site, writing to the police on Twitter at 8 o'clock.

The police confirm that the person is dead.

– Sex and age unknown, we continue to work on the site, announcing the police at 08:08.
