The first time that the idea of RennebuSpæll was put into practice, it was in 1994. This means that this year is the 24th time that this creative contest is organized. RennebuSpæll is a competition where the bodies demonstrate their musical quality, but the moment of entertainment and the interactions are just as important.
"There are seven judges who consider the contributions to this competition.Two chief judges consider the musical quality, two judges consider the use of aspirants and their contribution to the program of the body, two judges who judge the value of entertainment and, for the third consecutive year, a thematic judge, said Herborg Skjolden, chairman of the main committee.
– With #rytme as a theme, it becomes exciting to hear what it focuses on and what criteria are used. The music is rhythmically independent of the genre, so it does not indicate which, according to the judge, contributes the best, she says.
Desired price
The thematic prize is therefore divided for the third year in a row, which means that this prize is relatively new. The price has already been noticed because it is specially ordered and manufactured especially for RennebuSpæll by Ivar Fjellstad, the blacksmith of Rennebusmia.
"Ivar Smith has made two beautiful and creative figures in the last two years and there is no reason to believe that it will not happen again." Skjolden explains that Toril Dullum Lund, from Nerskogen Landhandel, is the idea behind price and its design.
The Thematic Prize Judge is re-elected each year, while the other six judges are invited each year and come back with pleasure.
"It's great for RennebuSpæll that the judges hold the quality and find the event so exciting and so good that they come back again," said Skjolden.
A lot of exercise and prestige
There are many bodies that put a lot of practice and prestige into this competition. Ni's body will hold the competition day on the following Saturday, which is four fewer bodies than last year.

Before prizes can be awarded, Nidarvoll enters the music scene of the school as the first body, then the others follow row and row. Rennebu School Corps is performing as last year with Kvikne School Music.
