Rødt got Wednesday the majority of the party to ensure the anchoring in the compensation business of veterans who served abroad after January 1, 2010.
The Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense is speaking Wednesday on the issue.
Red leader and parliamentary representative, Bjørnar Moxnes, reacted strongly to the fact that veterans injured in overseas operations after January 1, 2010 were denied anchor in reparations cases. This happened when the new law on defense came into effect in 2017.
"With today's recommendation, we have managed to get a majority to reverse this serious mistake. It is a major victory in the fight for veterans' worthy treatment," said Moxnes. at NTB.
In its proposal, the government is invited to submit a proposal to Storting for the amendment of the law on defense.

Moxnes believes that a distinction between injuries inflicted before and after January 1, 2010 is unreasonable. He is also pleased that the majority of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee members have rejected the Defense Minister's proposal to make the Finnish Appeals Committee an appeal body.
"The serious mental retardation that many veterans face requires a professional skill that is totally different from that of the Finance Commission," said Moxnes.
"Norwegian veterans are willing to risk their lives and their health in the service of their country, and then we would only have arrangements that would give them real compensation for the damage, no matter how long after they arrive on the surface," said Audun Lysbakken, chief of the SV.
