This is Bergens Tidende who first mentioned the case.
The parents went to court and asked for 22 million. That's more than double what the insurance company had paid for the loss of income after his son suffered a brain injury when he stayed 40 minutes in the water after an accident in 2012.
After the accident, the parents had to cut their jobs to take care of the boy and they pledged to go much further than what the bank has paid up to now.
The distance between the parties was ahead of the trial of more than 12 million NOK.
The parties agreed that they were not calculating how much Gjensidige would eventually pay for the family, but for BT, the father's father says the solution is the best solution she can hope for.
