Like last year, Thérèse Johaug added a summer training to the height of the United States. The coach Pål Gunnar Mikkelsplass believes that she is more or less rid of her backbone.
The background star is currently in Aspen up to 3500 meters altitude. She has been here for more than ten days. Shortly before the start, Johaug found a back injury, but that does not seem to inhibit him anymore.
– I did not have many contacts with her after she left for the United States, but there was a little mail. What she says is that it is going very well and that she is very happy with the stay. It mainly involves exercising, resting and eating. The back is definitely better, says Mikkelsplass at NTB.
He is Johaug's personal trainer. Last year he was with Aspen with the 30-year-old athlete with national runner Ingvild Flugstad Østberg. This time, he stayed at home in Norway
When Johaug's back problems were known at the end of June, national team coach Ole Morten Iversen said that she could do the usual exercises except quick lashes. It was the classic strike that was problematic, but that's not a subject in what she wrote recently. Although I do not know 100 percent now, it does not seem like it's a big deal anymore, says Mikkelsplass and adds:
– If anything, she usually says usually.
Johaug Be in the United States a week for. In early August, the Rollerblading Festival in Sandnes. Mikkels plass believes that Johaug is on the starting line.
– Everything indicates that, he says.
