The musicians said no to Petrenko

18. In June, Vasily Petrenko became known as General Director of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. He told Aftenposten that he "wants more space in the agenda to take on more missions as a guest conductor and in opera productions". But the majority of musicians do not want Petrenko to continue, confirming our country's elected orchestra. The disagreements on the repertoire and the lack of priority of the Oslo orchestra conductor should have been among the reasons.

Other Priorities

After the experience of our country, the musicians held a vote on Petrenko's contract to extend. Here it was the majority against. OFO Director Ingrid Røynesdal will not comment on the survey.
