Following advice, Finanstilsynet made a check from the Marton real estate agency in Bergen in February. A recent audit report shows that Marton operated illegally in a number of areas:
There were no established branches in Oslo and Stavanger
Neither Oslo nor Stavanger had professional staff as real estate agents. did not take control of the client's money.
The computer system was inadequate and assignments were not made in a secure system.
The report reveals that the discrepancies were so serious that the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority considered changing the permission granted to Marton to engage in real estate brokerage. Bergens Tidende also referred to the audit report.
– We will follow the company with new supervision soon. If we find equally serious discrepancies, we must end the operation, "said Geir Haatveit, special advisor to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.
