Time requirement – The state will have money from Widerøe after delays and cancellations

Widerøe receives 450 million a year to fly on the short circuit network in Norway. If they have canceled or delayed more than 1.5%, they lose parts of that support.

Lina Lindegaard Carlsen, information consultant at Widerøe, acknowledges the problems during the period when she was deprived of some of the support.

– We had challenges especially with the crew last summer and we also had too many technical cancellations. We are seeing improved operations in the spring and, fortunately, we have a better operating this summer compared to last year. We believe to have corrected part, but we are still not satisfied, Carlsen writes in an email to Nordlys

It is unclear how much money they will lose but at the same time last year , they were deducted 6.2 million for the wrong numbers in the north of Norway.
