Clarion The Edge in Tromsø revealed Wednesday that the popular Karpe would give two concerts at the hotel on April 23 and 24.
There was obviously a long awaited reservation. Friday night, they announce that Facebook tickets have been destroyed.
"This is the first time we've been playing tickets for two concerts at the same time, and before selling tickets to a concert, we tried to get an extra concert." Øyvind Alapnes, hotel manager, Clarion The Edge says, "We have never seen such sales.
During the day, 2,500 tickets are sold, although the concerts are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
– And then the two calmest days of the year. It's Tuesday and Wednesday just after Easter. Normally nothing happens. But this year it will be a mess, "says Alapnes.
Karpe Diem – composed of Chirag Patel and Magdi Ytreeide Abdelmaguid – has grown from success to success in recent years. Last year, they crowned the work with the cinema "Adjø Montebello" – and three sold-out shows of the spectrum of Oslo.
When they come to The Edge this spring, it's something new. Among other things, they changed their name and have just called Karpe.
