– Police were informed of the accident and two people were unconscious by a passerby at 1:40, said West District Police Operations Director Morten Rebnord at the NRK [19659002]. The two were declared dead at 02:02 and 02:46, says the director of operations in the West Per Algiers police district. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.

– The road is closed and the forensic and accident group of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration is at the scene of the accident, reports Rebnord.

It is unclear what happened

Police announce that the accident should have occurred just before the Camilla Inn, if it came from Bergen. The speed limit in the region is 70 kilometers per hour.

– It's too early to say anything about the course of events, but probably both are the driver and passenger of this bike, Rebnord says.

The police believe they have identified both people, but do not want to expire sex and age until relatives are informed of the accident.

E16 open to traffic

The road was closed at the scene of the accident. This meant that the route was to take County Road 7 between Granvin and Trengereid.

E16 was reopened for normal traffic at 7:30 am
