Amy Hennig, artistic director and author of the first three Uncharted games, has left EA and is creating an independent studio. He confirmed Hennig on the Eurogamer website as part of the Gamelab conference.

She is already talking to people to stack the new studio on her feet and is interested in exploring VR opportunities with the new project

– I just created my own small independent studio and I consult some people. I hope to bring people together and would like to have a small business with about six to eight people, maximum 15, and do more projects, do some virtual reality stuff – I consult virtual reality companies and I do a lot of Hennig research says.

It remains to be seen what we can expect from the new studio's games. The fact that Hennig has now left EA also means that she is no longer involved in the development of the new Star Wars game, according to Hennig, now "on the shelf."

Hennig left the Uncharted Naughty Dogs studio in 2014 to go to Dead Space's Visceral Games studio, which was supposed to work with the Star Wars game. This studio was released by EA last year after the company decided that the game was too linear and unsuitable for players today.

What happens to the Star Wars game, as it appeared in 2014, is uncertain around. In March of this year, information revealed by employment information suggests that EA is in full swing with a Star Wars game that takes place in an open world. According to Hennig, however, the current EA Vancouver studio is now working with something "quite different" without anyone knowing what.
