Weakened suspicion of something criminal after Tananger's death

Early Tuesday morning, a man from the 1920s was found dead at Havnealleen in Tananger. The cause of death is still unknown, but police wrote Wednesday that death was the subject of a suspicious investigation. As a result of new investigations, they state that suspicions have been weakened

– On the basis of interrogations and technical and tactical investigations, the police are now suspected of having prejudiced the deceased. Nevertheless, some investigations are in progress, writes the police.

There will be a forensic examination of the deceased man in order to have a better knowledge of what has happened.

What happened:

– Around 5:00 pm Tuesday morning, the Southwest Police received a message about a lifeless man at Havnealleen in Tananger. The man was declared dead on the spot.

– Just after 6 am, the director of operations, Jøran Solheim, in the Southwest Police District, told NTB that they were not showing who this man was.

– At 10.00 the police reported that the man is probably in the 20s.

– 12.00 the police write that the deceased is identified. However, they did not want to divulge the name at that time. The manager must be notified.

– At 14:45, police announce that a number of investigations and witnesses were conducted in the Tananger area. They worked to map the movements of the deceased before death.

– Wednesday at 10:00, the police report that it is decided that there will be a forensic examination of the deceased to have a better knowledge of what happened.
