Wolff Eikrem released after mid-season

Seattle Sounders confirms Friday that it has settled the contract with Norwegian midfielder Magnus Wolff Eikrem

Wolff Eikrem has played 17 games and scored two goals for Seattle Sounders after signing for the Americans when the contract with Malmö expired after the season 2017

The 27-year-old native of Molde has not been a big hit in Sounders though. He fought with both injuries and lack of playing time. He started only six matches

According to Seattle Times the former player Heerenveen and Molde was released for to house a new foreign player.

A young Wolff Eikrem went to Manchester United in 2009, but he never came longer than the reserve team. He went to Molde with Ole Gunnar Solskjær in 2011.

Two years later he had another chance in Europe when Heerenveen brought him to the Netherlands and Solskjær brought Wolff Eikrem back to the Premier League and Cardiff in 2014. It was unsuccessful. The following year, he became a Malmö player
