(CNN) – Norwegian Cruise Line is the latest company to date where it has been decided to reduce its impact on the environment.
"While we are aware that this is just the beginning of what we and others need to do to be good stewards of our environment, we are engaged in our Sail & Sustain initiatives and continue to innovate for the overall benefit of the planet and its future resources, "said Andy Stuart, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, in a press release.
Instead, Norwegian will stock water from the JUST company, founded by Jaden Smith. JUST water cartons are made from paper. The hood and shoulder are made from plastic made from sugar cane. Cartons are refillable and recyclable.
"It is essential that companies play a leading role in efforts to mitigate the impact of our planet," JUST CEO Ira Laufer said in a press release.
In 2018, Norwegian also eliminated disposable plastic straws in its fleet of 16 vessels and in private destinations.
