STAMFORD, Connecticut – November 10, 2020 – With Out of Home (OOH) viewership numbers now included, Saturday night’s top five clash between No.1 Clemson Tigers and No.4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish ended with a broadcast total audience (TAD) of 10.17 million viewers on NBC – making it the most-watched college football game of the 2020 season and the second most watched Notre Dame on NBC recorded game, based on official national data from Nielsen and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

In the 30-year history of NBC Sports broadcasting Notre Dame football games, Clemson-Notre Dame now ranks behind the “Game of the Century” between No.2 Notre Dame and No.1 from the State of Florida in 1993 (22.02 million viewers). The Fighting Irish’s 47-40 double overtime victory over the nation’s top-ranked team is also the most watched ND on NBC primetime game recorded.

Saturday night’s game is the most-watched college football game of the season, topping Georgia-Alabama on Oct. 17 (9.669 million P2 +), and is the most-watched regular-season college football game since Alabama- Auburn on November 30. 2019 (11.505 million P2 +).

Thanks to four games ^ on NBC this season, Notre Dame games averaged a total audience broadcast of 5.27 million viewers, Notre Dame’s best start to the season since 2005 (four games; 6.106 million P2 +).
