Novitec is a rarity among German tuning companies. Many won’t even consider riding a supercar’s turbos and installing a garish exhaust without also outfitting it with a carbon fiber body kit on top. Novitec will if you wish, of course, but it tends to take a more subtle approach.
Take the company’s new modified Ferrari F8 Tributo and its “bare carbon aerodynamic upgrade kit”. Whether the subtle additions and responsive spoiler give a tangible aero edge is irrelevant – we think this thing looks great, especially with those gold painted Vossen alloys (21 inches up front, 22 inches up front, 22 inches up ‘back). We didn’t need to worry.
As for performance, Novitec took the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 to 791 hp and 662 lb-ft of torque, increases of 81 hp and 94 lb-ft over the standard. 0-62 mph definitely takes 2.6 seconds limited to grip (0.3 seconds faster than standard), and top speed is said to be “over 211 mph”.
Other mechanical changes include an Inconel exhaust and 35mm suspension. The interior of this particular car looks standard, but Novitec promises that there are “endless options” to meet the owner’s “personal preferences”.
Do you also like the look of the F8 from Novitec or have we gone a little crazy?
