Nvidia today announced its new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti card at $ 399. It’s the latest addition to the company’s RTX 3000 series lineup and the most affordable to date. Nvidia claims that the RTX 3060 Ti was designed to outperform both the latest generation RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Super. On average, Nvidia claims it will be 40% faster than its predecessor, the RTX 2060 Super.

The RTX 3060 Ti will be available worldwide on December 2, priced at $ 399, £ 369 in the UK, and € 348 (excluding tax). The card itself looks a lot like the RTX 3070 and is the same size. It also includes the same traditional dual fan configuration. The main visual difference is that the RTX 3060 Ti uses a lighter shade of gray instead of the darker gray that is found on current RTX 3000 series cards.

The RTX 3060 Ti comes with 8 GB of video memory, a base clock of 1410 Mhz and a boost clock of 1665 Mhz. This is the typical dual-slot design, with Nvidia’s new 12-pin power connector. Nvidia recommends a 600W power supply for the RTX 3060 Ti, and the card can draw up to 200 watts of power.

Like the rest of Nvidia’s RTX 3000 cards, the RTX 3060 Ti will also be capable of real-time ray tracing and will include DLSS support and the ability to run Nvidia’s RTX suite of applications. Nvidia’s RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition card goes on sale on December 2 for $ 399, and a variety of third-party cards will also be available.
