NVIDIA GeForce GPU prices continue to move closer to MSRP thanks to improved availability while AMD Radeon GPU prices trend slightly higher, 3DCenter reports in the latest graphics card pricing update.

NVIDIA has taken numerous steps to ensure gamers have GeForce RTX GPUs and not minors. The company has launched its CMP (Crypto Mining Processor) series, which are graphics cards designed specifically for mining. The company also launched its LHR (Lite Hash Rate) GPU line which replaced the entire existing GeForce RTX 30 Ampere GPU line and imposed mining algorithm restrictions. LHR cards have low to low value for crypto mining purposes and NVIDIA has reduced overall prices in various markets as still operational cryptocurrency setups cannot use them and gamers are reluctant to purchase graphics cards. at prices so high that retailers ultimately cut prices significantly.

There is still a significant stock of non-LHR GeForce RTX 30 GPUs on the market that distributors and retailers are keeping and will release at exorbitant prices once the next crypto boom occurs, although this is the last in the stock no. It also leads NVIDIA to record higher sales and usage figures for its GeForce RTX GPUs compared to AMD’s Radeon RX GPUs in major outlets and in Steam’s database. The latest sales figures from MindFactory show NVIDIA sold 70% GPU units compared to 30% AMD GPU units in the past week.

In the pricing table above, you can see that all NVIDIA GPUs are currently rated at 3 or more starts, while AMD with just four GPUs has an uptime rating starting at 2 stars. Prices for NVIDIA’s high-end lineup, such as the 3080 Ti and 3090, have improved significantly and are currently only costing 15-20% off the MSRP. These are the old RTX 3060, RTX 3070, RTX 3080 shares that are still priced high, but these also fell around 15% on average from the previous month.
AMD graphics cards continue to stay high, with the Big Navi GPU starting at 30% over MSRP and up to 81% more expensive, while the 6700 XT costs an average of 44% more than MSRP. That doesn’t bode well for the Radeon RX 6600 XT which launches tomorrow and is already priced at around US $ 700, which is a 60-80% markup over its MSRP. But we should be hopeful things will improve by the end of 2021, as all industry analysts have reported.
