Additional specs for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ampere Gaming graphics card have been leaked on UserBenchmark which have been spotted by Rogame. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 will be one of several high-end and passionate gaming options to be presented on September 1, using the all-new Ampere GPU architecture.

According to the leak, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 is still being evaluated internally as the entry on UserBenchmark is dated August 15. The listing shows the Ampere graphics card with a device ID of “10DE 2206″. In addition to the GeForce RTX 3080 specs, its PCI ID was also unveiled which, according to Videocardz, is “ 2206 ”. Rogame also sheds some light on PCI IDs and says there are at least three IDs for three different cards.
Moving on to specs, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 was spotted with 10GB of VRAM that ran 19Gbps (4750MHz QDR effective) GDDR6X memory arrays over a 320-bit bus interface. This should provide 760 GB / s of memory bandwidth. This is a nearly 53% jump in memory bandwidth over the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SUPER, which is very impressive. When it comes to GPU clocks, the card has a BIOS limit set at 2100 MHz, so we should be looking for clock speeds similar to Turing GPUs which also peak around 2.1 GHz.

Average clock speeds of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, especially the GA102 GPU core, are expected to be rated at around 1.7-1.8 GHz, as seen in previous leaks. . These will be the actual boost clocks for the boards whereas we can expect a standard operating range close to 1.9 GHz. Custom cards will allow higher clock speeds due to better power delivery and we can expect the speeds to approach the 2.1 GHz limit.
What is interesting is that the graphics card was running on a brand new 455.90 driver. GPU performance isn’t that good in the benchmark, but it’s likely still an early design candidate for the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. It has been reported that the GeForce RTX 3080 will feature 20 GB of GDDR6X memory instead of 10 GB, which was previously announced.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 – GA102 for high-end gaming
Moving on to the GeForce RTX 3080, it is rumored that the card will feature the GA102-200-KD-A1 SKU. This scaled-down SKU will feature the same 4,352 CUDA cores as the RTX 2080 Ti which will be arranged in a total of 68 SM. The card would offer up to 20GB of memory which will also be GDDR6X. Assuming the memory is operating at 19 Gbps on a 320-bit bus interface, we can expect bandwidth of up to 760 GB / s.
The switch to GA102 from TU104 on the RTX 2080 is certainly interesting. A high-end SKU would also result in higher horsepower and thermals, but I think it could be done to raise the bar in the under $ 500 segment which should include the GA104-based RTX 3070 and RTX 3060. The latest performance leaks also show an improvement in performance over the RTX 2080 and even the RTX 2080 Ti in synthetic benchmarks. If the same could translate into gaming performance, then Ampere looks like a super appealing product for gamers who have been waiting for almost 2 years now.
In addition to the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card spec leak, Chiphell has released what appears to be an alleged performance graph of the GeForce RTX 30 series, which includes the GeForce RTX 3090, GeForce RTX 3080, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce RTX 3060. The graph claims to be a measure of average graphics card performance only in gaming benchmarks at various resolutions from 1080p up to 4K. It also shows the performance gains per watt for each respective generation. Again, this graph should be taken with a grain of salt as the performance information has yet to be verified.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 ‘Ampere’ Gaming line of graphics cards are expected to be announced on September 1 at a digital event to be hosted by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. We’re expecting at least three new graphics cards at the event, including the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (or RTX 3090), GeForce RTX 3080, and a next-gen Titan. There is certainly a lot more to talk about regarding Ampere GPUs, but we’ll have to wait until more information comes to us.
