NVIDIA's streaming game service arrives on Android this fall

Until now, players have broadcast 30 million hours of play on over 1,000 games on PCs, Macs and the NVIDIA SHIELD platform. The addition of Android to the list will begin with a beta test and NVIDIA recommends using a Bluetooth controller for those who wish to participate because touch controls are not supported by the vast majority PC games. Most users would probably prefer to play on larger screens, but for some games in the room, an Android tablet would be a solid alternative. Mobile games with cellular data will probably not be a starting point, given the bandwidth required to stream high-resolution video.

NVIDIA has also announced the launch of its RTX servers in northern California and Germany, with additional locations to come. Each RTX blade server contains 40 GPUs, processing games for multiple GeForce NOW users simultaneously. These servers will also be made available to third parties for computer activities other than games, such as managing the number of data centers.

NVIDIA says GeForce NOW will see a public launch this year, although a specific schedule has not yet been announced. Players can always sign up here for the free beta waiting list.
