NXT 2.0 continued to command public attention in its second week

The first week of WWE’s renowned NXT 2.0 impressed ratings. But it raised the question of how fleeting this curiosity was for the more colorful, youth-focused show, and what was the enduring interest?

Two weeks of data is not enough to answer this question. But the first returns remain promising.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the September 21 episode was watched by 746,000 viewers. This is just a drop from the premiere of NXT 2.0 last Tuesday. The show’s 0.20 rating among 18-49 year olds was also only a slight drop from the week before.

Ideally, WWE and the United States would love to see those numbers increase for the new development show. But for now, they’ll probably be happy that version 2.0 delivers the high end of what the black and yellow version of the series did. NXT finished just outside the top ten on the Cable Originals list last night; a month ago he was outside the top 30.

Here’s a look at the brand’s audience in black and gold and how demos 18-49 had rated since they switched to Tuesdays after. WrestlingMania 37.
