Ocasio-Cortez, conflict between Job Creators Network and the new display panel stepped up

The Job Creators Network (JCN), a conservative business advocacy group, intensified its rivalry with representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by erecting a new billboard sign in Times Square, accusing Amazon of canceling its construction project of a second headquarters in New York.

Ocasio-Cortez was an opponent declared to the agreement reached between Amazon and New York for the construction of a new base, dubbed HQ2, that would have allowed the tech company to benefit from around 3 billion $ 10 in tax credits over 10 years and create 25,000 jobs at the new headquarters.

Amazon cited the resistance of local politicians in a blog post announcing the cancellation.

The JCN posted Wednesday on 42nd Street and 8th Avenue a sign accusing only Ocasio-Cortez of the failure of the transaction, claiming that it had caused "25,000 jobs lost in New York" and "4 billion loss of wages ".

Ocasio-Cortez criticized the billboard on Twitter on Thursday morning. She said it was "wack", pointed out that it was funded by billionaires, and said the group advocates "black and anti-worker money policies".

JCN was founded by Bernard Marcus, billionaire donor of President Donald Trump's campaign. She also received funding from the Mercer Family Foundation, run by a family of billionaires who donated to Trump and the right-wing Breitbart press.

The JCN has introduced two new billboards Thursday in response to Ocasio-Cortez attacks. The first panel says, "Hey AOC, I saw your wack tweet," in a clear reference to his tweet.

The second sign, just below the first sign, reads, "Hey, AOC, this sign costs about $ 4,000, but it costs you 25,000 jobs and $ 4,000,000,000 in lost wages a year in New York."

A photo of new ads sent to Business Insider by JCN representatives shows that they are located near the New Victory Theater, located on 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenue.

It is unclear how long the second set of billboards will remain in Times Square.

INSIDER contacted JCN for comments.

JCN has also created a new Web domain – www.ThanksAOC.com – which directly refers to its press release criticizing Ocasio.

WhoIs.net, a website that tracks domain names, said ThanksAOC.com was created on Monday.
