Alexandria Ocasio-CortezOcasio-Cortez blames the former Dem Senate for helping the Lyft MP fight the Singer Labor Bill (D-N.Y.) Defended Thursday his right to block people on Twitter, saying that "harassment is not a point of view".
"I have 5.2 million followers. Fewer than 20 accounts are blocked for ongoing harassment. 0 are my constituents, "tweeted Ocasio-Cortez. "No one has the right to abuse it."
The New York recruit added that "people are free to talk about classist, racist, false, misogynist, sectarian comments they would like", but that they "do not have the right to force others to support the harassment and abuse of which they are victims ".

Ocasio-Cortez's comments come after the Knight First Amendment Institute of Columbia University wrote Wednesday a letter to the congressman urging him not to block people on Twitter for reasons of point of view, because it is "unconstitutional".
"You are using the account as an extension of your office – to share information about the Congress the hearings explain political proposals, advocate for laws and solicit public comment on government issues, "reads the letter. "The @AOC account is important to you as a legislator, to your constituents and to others who seek to understand and influence your legislative decisions and priorities."
