Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went on Tuesday to Senator Mike Lee after the Republican Utah brought a cache of strange signs to use as an accessory to dispel his proposal on the climate of the Green New Deal.

The Democratic rookie, known for his quick wit on Twitter, claimed that "enemies" like Lee can sometimes rid her of any doubt that she is qualified to be a lawmaker, republishing a tweet from progressive strategist Waleed Shahid with a Lee's screen shot talking on the floor of the Senate in front of a poster of babies.

"The solution to climate change is not that little serious resolution … the solution to so many of our problems, at any time and everywhere, is to fall in love, to get married and to get married. to have children. " Quote Lee in the tweet as said.

Shahid added, "This is a real quote."

"Like many other active women, I sometimes suffer from the impostor syndrome: these little moments, especially on hard days, where one wonders if the enemies are right," Ocasio -Cortez wrote. "But then they do things like this to solve the problem. If this guy can be a senator, you can do anything.

Lee, a fervent Conservative, has strongly opposed the polarizing climate proposals of the Green New Deal, Ocasio-Cortez and Senator of Massachusetts, Ed Markey, on which the Senate is expected to vote on Wednesday.

Lee spoke with a crowd of unusual accessories to argue his point, including representations of former President Ronald Reagan riding the back of a dinosaur and Aquaman cartoon superhero.

Critics ridiculed Ocasio-Cortez and Markey's proposal after a heated deployment in which inadvertent material was sent, saying the legislation would guarantee an income for Americans who do not want to work and push for a dramatic reduction air travel and consumption of beef.

Wednesday's procedural vote should largely fail, but it is being used by Republicans as a messaging tactic to try to get the Democrats on the record and portray them as being radically out of the ordinary when it comes to environmental policy.

Lee insisted on Wednesday that his dramatic move, which had propelled the senator into a news story on Twitter, was meant to illustrate how he thought the non – binding resolution was stupid.

"It will not happen – not today, not soon, certainly. After reading the Green New Deal, I am especially afraid of not being able to cross this speech with an impassive face, "he said. "Indeed, Mr. President, I am rising today to consider the Green New Deal with the seriousness it deserves."

The message of Ocasio-Cortez recognizes his role as one of the favorite typing bags of Republicans. Conservatives are constantly criticizing the new Congressman for his lack of political experience, despite his growing popularity as a face of the party's progressive wing.
