Odell Beckham does not seem to be wearing his Richard Mille watch on the pitch tonight, but the Browns receiver was wearing a helmet on his helmet that the officials had not approved.
They sent Beckham away on a third game, Beckham arguing in vain.
Beckham had a golden-colored shield on his helmet and officials told coach Freddie Kitchens that Beckham could not continue with this helmet, according to the Browns radio network, via Nate Ulrich of Akron Beacon Journal.
After announcing a sponsorship deal last month, the NFL changed its rule to allow only the slightly tinted visors provided by Oakley. Oakley visors slightly tinged with a pinkish hue.
The equipment managers changed Beckham's shield, but not until they missed a third and scored on the Jets' 5-yard line. The Browns opted for a 23-yard field goal and a 3-0 lead.
Beckham scored with a ridiculous one-handed touch along the sideline for a 33-yard distance up to the 4-yard line of the Jets. Cornerback Nate Hairston had a tight coverage on Beckham, but that was okay, as the star catcher made another good pass.
