BEREA, Ohio – Odell Beckham Jr. has run for the mandatory Cleveland mini-camp and will be training on Tuesday after missing most of the team's volunteer training sessions.
The wide star catcher has trained in California and missed nine of the ten training sessions. But he will participate in the three-day minicamp of the Browns, where he will try to catch up and develop relationships with his new teammates.
Last week Freddie Kitchens, Browns' first-year coach, said Beckham had "missed a lot" during his extended absence. Kitchens's comment was a change of tone after he defended Beckham's decision to be absent.
The Browns acquired Beckham as part of an exchange with the Giants in March.
In addition, offensive midfielder Duke Johnson should be in the field after claiming an exchange and missed out on OTA. He is upset by a reduced role after the team signed free agent Kareem Hunt.
While Beckham and Johnson are back, receiver Jarvis Landry will likely be held responsible for an unspecified injury.
