Official Secrets Laws Broken to Improve “War Thunder”

Classified documents detailing the specifications of the Challenger 2 tank in Thunder of war were disclosed online and it violated the Official Secrets Law, which is in effect in more than 40 countries.

This violation, however, was not the result of international espionage, but rather of an attempt to Thunder of war user of the _Fear_Naught_ forum to improve the accuracy of the vehicle in the game.

Along with the pages of an Army Equipment Support Publication (AESP) Challenger 2, which is essentially a user manual for tanks, _Fear_Naught_ took to the official War Thunder forum to explain that they had leaked the document to prove that the developers Gaijin had not coded the vehicle correctly.

“Basically, Gaijin would have you believe that the rotor that supports the weight of the barrel cradle, recoil mechanism, breech, barrel, mantlet, coaxial cable and TISH is not even made. all supported by the trunnions… It apparently floats, ”they wrote.

The images were quickly removed from the forum, with a community manager explaining, “We make it very clear that we will not process any source material unless it is publicly available and fully declassified with the rights to prove it.”

Another Mod later confirmed that they had “written confirmation from the Department of Defense that this document remained classified.” By continuing to broadcast it, you are breaking the Official Secrets Law as stated in the disclaimer on the cover of the document, an offense of up to 14 years in prison if prosecuted.

However, some users were still hoping for an improvement in the game. “I hope that although the sources have been removed and rejected for legal purposes, the mask will still be fixed,” posted Spanish_Avenger. “After all, we now KNOW for sure that it is wrong in the game, and we now know, to a better extent, how it really should be.”

But those dreams have since been crushed through the Community Manager. “There is no valid source material that can be used, so no changes will take place.”
