RALEIGH, NC (WTVD) – The Momo Challenge appeared a few years ago and is now on the surface. Managers ask parents and guardians to become aware of the disturbing online challenge.

A frightening figure with grotesque details encourages children to commit suicide.

According to the Daily Mail, the challenge begins with a question asking the user to add and contact a person called Momo. Then comes a barrage of scary and violent messages promoting suicide.

The challenge seems to be conveyed mainly via WhatsApp and Facebook, as well as through YouTube in Peppa the Pig and Fortnite videos.
