The search for an Ohio teenager who disappeared Saturday was relegated to the background in a criminal investigation. The police identified a person of interest in the case.
Jonathan Minard, 14, was last seen at a farm in New Harrisburg, about eight kilometers from his home in Dellroy.
According to investigators, Minard was helping his 29-year-old friend at his father's dairy farm when he started complaining of toothache, The Canton Repository reported. The two men reportedly went to the friend's home to call the teenager's mother.

But Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams told WKYC that Minard's mother had said he had never received the call.

Williams said the investigators have now identified a person of interest. He is described as a 29-year-old man with a criminal record, mostly made up of drug-related offenses, Fox reported 8.
We did not know at once if the person who interested him was Minard's friend on the farm.
Minard has blue eyes and brown hair. It measures 5 feet 7 inches and weighs about 145 pounds. Police said he'd been seen for the last time wearing a blue hoodie, brown pants and boots.

As early as Monday, research teams were asked to check "garages or other property structures" in the vicinity of the United Methodist Church of Baxters Ridge. Police said the research groups should also be away Tuesday, although the areas to be explored are still unknown.
