Ohio State and Indiana Kickoff Time Channel Announced

The No.3 Ohio State went 3-0 in this young Big Ten season on Saturday night with a less than convincing 49-27 win over Rutgers at Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes appeared to have full control of the game and, to be fair, never were, with a 35-3 lead at halftime, but allowed the Scarlet Knights to stay in the game more than anyone else. expected in the second half.

After back-to-back prime-time kicks off, the Scarlets and Grays will travel to Maryland this Saturday for a mid-afternoon start time. Ohio state then returns home to host Indiana on Nov. 21 and it was announced Monday that this game will start at 12 p.m. ET as part of the Big Noon Kickoff. The news was broadcast there by Joel Klatt of FOX.

The Buckeyes and Hoosiers have played 92 times in the history of both programs, but few of those meetings have carried the hype that this contest potentially could. After a 3-0 start to the 2020 season, which includes wins over Penn State and Michigan, IU received its best ranking in the AP poll on Sunday, placing 10th overall.

Of those 92 previous encounters, the Scarlet and Gray have won 75 times, completely controlling the series with Indiana. Ohio State has won each of the last 25 games against the Hoosiers with a draw in the last 27 meetings. IU’s last win over the Buckeyes was a 41-7 affair at Bloomington by Bill Mallory’s side against John Cooper’s Scarlet and Gray in 1988. Before beating the Nittany Lions in the season opener, the victory over OSU the year before (31-10) marked the last time Indiana beat a ranked opponent.

The very first meeting between the two programs was in 1901. The Hoosiers’ 18-6 victory marked the start of a four-game unbeaten streak by IU to kick off the series between the two teams before the Buckeyes began to take control. .

As expected, Ohio State is having a perfect start to the season in terms of records, winning home games against Nebraska and the Rutgers with a road victory over Penn State sandwiched between the two. What’s surprising is that the game against the Hoosiers in late November could be the Buckeyes’ toughest challenge of the regular season.

In order for the Hoosiers to pull off this top 10 at Ohio Stadium in two weeks, IU must first travel to East Lansing and defeat Michigan State on the road this Saturday.
