Ohio State Rises to 6th in AP and Coaching Polls After Maryland Rout

Ohio State climbs in the polls.

After a 66-17 rout from Maryland and another crazy week in college football, the Buckeyes advanced in both polls, climbing to 6th place in the AP poll and the coaches poll.

Ohio state came in just behind Alabama in both polls after the Crimson Tide fell to Texas A&M over the weekend. In the wake of the surprise win, the previously unranked Aggies returned to the polls, placing 21st in the AP poll and 18th in the Coaches Poll.

The Big Ten are half of the top 10 in both polls, with Iowa leading as the No. 2 consensus team in the country.
