Welcome to the Jalen Hurts show.

Oklahoma (2-0) leads UCLA (0-2) 34-7 at halftime at the Rose Bowl.

Hurts – who took part in Saturday's game averaging 111.5 rushing yards per game – started the day with four lifts for 99 yards and one touchdown for the first possession of the game.

And he did not slow down either.

Hurts opened the Bruins for 206 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, while adding 141 yards rushing.

After two practice sessions that failed the Bruins, the Sooners added 10 points to extend their lead to 17-0 with just under four minutes remaining in the first quarter.

UCLA finally joined the board after quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson found Redshirt Kyle Philips' distant receiver with a laser between two defensemen to reduce the deficit to 10.

However, after another series of stagnant throws – including one that resulted in a Thompson-Robinson interception – Oklahoma extended their lead to 34-7 just before the end of the semester.

Thompson-Robinson finished the first half with just 79 yards on 6 of 11 passes.

The Bruins also struggled to get things done on the court, 37 yards on 37 yards – good for just 2.1 yards per run.

With a defeat, UCLA would fall to 0-3 for the second year in a row, which the program has not done since the 1920s and 1921s.

The Bruins will receive the ball to start the second half.
