Oklahoma State star Cade Cunningham left the men’s basketball game against Baylor on Thursday after rolling his left ankle, but was able to return to the locker room on his own after the Cowboys’ 81-70 loss.

Cunningham was dribbling down the left side of the floor in the last minute when he stepped past Baylor’s Davion Mitchell and fell to the ground. He grabbed his left foot before heading for the sideline and not coming back.
“I’m always worried about his future first and foremost,” Boynton said of Cunningham, the expected first pick in this year’s NBA Draft. “As much as winning and representing our program, my commitment to these children is always paramount. Prior to his injury, Cunningham was ranked 17th in Oklahoma State in the game against 3rd Baylor. He finished with 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists – with 20 of those points in the second half. The Cowboys reduced a 13-point lead at Baylor to four points in the final three minutes, but the Bears moved away from the free throw line.
Cunningham, a 6-foot-8 freshman goaltender, is averaging 19.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists this season.
