An Oklahoma State University sorority is in quarantine after nearly two dozen members contracted coronavirus, school officials said.
According to the university on Saturday, 23 cases were detected at Chapter Pi Beta Phi, an off-campus sorority house.
“Due to the nature of this situation, the entire chapter house is isolated or in quarantine and he will be prohibited from leaving the establishment,” the college said.

“A sorority member who lives elsewhere is among those who have tested positive and will also remain isolated.”
The chapter house has already been disinfected and will be disinfected again after the two-week quarantine period, officials said.
Some students, however, have expressed concern that the epidemic could spread even further across campus.

“You have daughters who live at the house and others who don’t live in the house,” student Julia Aguirre told News9. “I mean, they come in and out, in and out all day.”
Greek Life has been behind viral outbreaks in other schools, including the University of Washington, where at least 93 students have been sick with the disease. Eighty-nine of the infected students lived in the college’s off-campus fraternity houses.
