Florida and Oklahoma have only met once in their history: the BCS Championship Game 2009. Although the Sooners had the No. 1 offense in the country that year, the Gators’ defense did. controlled the game in a 24-14 victory for their third national title. This year, Florida has one of the best offenses in college football with the No. 1 passing game in the country. After a quarter, however, that passing game got nowhere, with the Sooners having a 17-3 lead.

The big story was quarterback Kyle Trask’s three interceptions. Trask threw five picks over the entire season, but a combination of pressure, bad decisions and a new receiving squad caused the errors. With Kyle Pitts, Kadarius Toney, Jacob Copeland and Trevon Grimes, the Gators are missing two-thirds of their production. Either way, Trask didn’t play well and the protection he received up front didn’t help at all. The good news for the Gators is that they have the powerful offense of coming from behind – if their shorthanded group can muster it.
