Linders said other agencies – including Metro Transit Police, Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office and Maplewood Police – handled a few 911 calls in the city because many St. Paul police officers had to. respond to the shooting.

Linders pointed out that the investigation was still in its early stages, but said there appeared to be multiple shooters. He also said authorities believed there might be other victims who did not go to hospital.

The name of the deceased woman has not been released.

“It is nothing less than a tragedy,” Linders said. “We had people in the town of St. Paul on a Saturday night having fun. And we’ve had other people who decided to use guns with a reckless disregard for human life, and pull the trigger over and over and over and over again. And it ended in tragedy. Our hearts are breaking for the deceased young woman and for her loved ones. And for everyone who was in this bar.
